Is Austin Butler Really Singing in Baz Luhrmann's Elvis Biopic?

Austin Butler is all shook up over his role as Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann's upcoming biopic. But one question that's been on everyone's mind is whether or not Butler will actually be singing in the film. The answer is a resounding yes! Entertainment Weekly spoke to Butler about his extensive preparation for the role, which included months of vocal training and working with a dialect coach to perfect Presley's iconic Southern drawl.
Butler also revealed that he recorded all of Presley's songs for the film himself, including classics like "Heartbreak Hotel" and "Hound Dog." Luhrmann was so impressed with Butler's vocals that he decided to use them in the final cut of the film, instead of using Presley's original recordings.
"Austin's voice is incredible," Luhrmann said. "He really captures the essence of Elvis's sound." Butler's performance is sure to be one of the most talked-about aspects of the film, and his singing is sure to leave audiences speechless.
